Collection of General Information When Visiting Our Website

When you access our website, general information of a non-personal nature is automatically collected through a cookie. This information (server log files) includes things like the type of web browser, operating system, domain name of your internet service provider, and similar details. This is exclusively information that does not allow conclusions about your person. This information is technically necessary to correctly deliver the content of websites requested by you and is a mandatory aspect of using the internet. It is processed for the following purposes:

The processing of your personal data is based on our legitimate interest in the aforementioned purposes of data collection. We do not use your data to draw conclusions about you as an individual. The recipients of the data are only the responsible entity and, if applicable, data processors. Anonymous information of this kind is statistically evaluated by us if necessary, to optimize our internet presence and the technology behind it.

Cookies

Like many other websites, we also use so-called “cookies”. Cookies are small text files that are transferred from a website server to your hard drive. This automatically provides us with certain data such as your IP address, the browser you are using, operating system, and your connection to the internet. Cookies cannot be used to start programs or transfer viruses to a computer. Based on the information contained in cookies, we can facilitate navigation for you and enable the correct display of our web pages. Under no circumstances will the data we collect be passed on to third parties or linked to personal data without your consent. Of course, you can view our website without cookies as well. Internet browsers are regularly set to accept cookies. In general, you can deactivate the use of cookies at any time via your browser settings. Please use the help functions of your internet browser to learn how to change these settings. Please note that individual functions of our website may not work if you have deactivated the use of cookies.

Contact Form

Nature and Purpose of Processing:

The data you enter will be stored for the purpose of individual communication with you. For this, the provision of a valid email address and your name is necessary. This serves the assignment of the inquiry and the subsequent response. Providing additional data is optional.

The processing of data entered into the contact form is based on a legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR).

By providing the contact form, we aim to facilitate uncomplicated communication. The information you provide will be stored for the purpose of processing the inquiry and for possible follow-up questions.

If you contact us to request an offer, the processing of data entered into the contact form will be performed to carry out pre-contractual measures (Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR).

Recipients:

Recipients of the data may be processors.

Storage Duration:

Data will be deleted no later than 6 months after processing the inquiry.

If a contractual relationship is established, we are subject to the legal retention periods under the Commercial Code (HGB) and will delete your data after these periods have expired.

Provision Mandatory or Required:

Providing your personal data is voluntary. However, we can only process your inquiry if you provide us with your name, email address, and the reason for the inquiry.

Google Tag Manager

This website uses Google Tag Manager provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (hereinafter “Google”). Google Tag Manager is a solution that allows us to centrally manage and deploy website tags (e.g. for the conversion tracking described below). The Tag Manager itself does not set cookies and does not collect personal data; it merely triggers other tags, which in turn may collect data.

Tags that process personal data or set cookies (e.g. for marketing or analytics purposes) are only triggered if you have given your consent via our cookie banner (Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR). Without your consent, only aggregated, cookieless signals without personal reference are transmitted via Google Consent Mode. You can adjust or withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings (link at the top of the page).

For more information, please see Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

Use of Script Libraries (Google Web Fonts)

To present our content correctly and graphically appealing across browsers, we use script libraries and font libraries such as Google Web Fonts (https://www.google.com/webfonts/). Google Web Fonts are transferred to your browser’s cache to avoid multiple loading. If the browser does not support Google Web Fonts or prevents access, content will be displayed in a default font.

Calling script libraries or font libraries automatically triggers a connection to the library operator. It is theoretically possible – but currently unclear whether and for what purposes – that operators of corresponding libraries may collect data.

The privacy policy of the library operator Google can be found here: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/

Google AdWords

Our website uses Google Conversion Tracking. If you arrived at our website via a Google ad, Google Adwords will set a cookie on your computer. The cookie for conversion tracking is set when a user clicks on an ad placed by Google Adwords. These cookies lose their validity after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages on our website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page. Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. Cookies cannot therefore be tracked across the websites of AdWords customers. The information collected with the help of the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Customers learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive information that allows them to personally identify users. If you do not want to participate in tracking, you can refuse the necessary setting of a cookie – for example, via browser settings that generally deactivate the automatic setting of cookies or set your browser so that cookies from the domain “googleleadservices.com” are blocked. Please note that you must not delete the opt-out cookies as long as you do not wish to record measurement data. If you have deleted all your cookies in your browser, you must set the respective opt-out cookie again.

Microsoft Azure Communication Services

For sending emails from functions of our website (e.g. download links and inquiries via the contact form), we use the service Azure Communication Services provided by Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland (hereinafter “Microsoft”). Microsoft processes the resulting data (e.g. name, email address and content of the message) on our behalf as a data processor pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. Processing takes place on servers within the European Union.

Using a specialized service provider is necessary to ensure reliable delivery of the emails. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR.

Further information on data processing by Microsoft can be found at: https://privacy.microsoft.com/en-us/privacystatement

SSL Encryption

To protect the security of your data during transmission, we use state-of-the-art encryption methods (e.g. SSL) via HTTPS.

Changes to Our Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to adjust this privacy policy to comply with the latest legal requirements or to implement changes to our services in the privacy policy, e.g. when introducing new services. The new privacy policy will apply to your next visit.
